# Why Culture Inflections Can Show Up Before the Numbers

Most public-company research starts with financial statements. CultureRadar starts one layer earlier: with the people, language, and operating signals that often move before revenue, margin, retention, or execution quality fully reflect the change.

This is not a claim that culture predicts every stock outcome. It does not. The claim is narrower: for talent-dense companies, a sustained shift in talent flow, employee sentiment, and management language can reveal that something inside the operating system is changing.

## The Four Evidence Lines

### 1. Talent Flow

The strongest signal is often who leaves, who joins, and where they go. A few executive departures do not prove anything by themselves. But when senior product, engineering, sales, or platform talent starts moving in a clear direction over multiple quarters, it deserves attention.

### 2. Employee Review Trends

Employee reviews are noisy, but changes in the pattern can matter. CultureRadar looks for movement in overall ratings, CEO approval, business outlook, management confidence, and repeated review themes.

The point is not to quote one angry review. The point is to ask whether the language is drifting.

### 3. Management Language

Earnings-call transcripts are clean public sources. Management teams often telegraph internal priorities through repeated wording: growth, innovation, expansion, efficiency, discipline, restructuring, focus, simplification.

The signal is not any single word. The signal is the pattern across calls and whether answers to hard questions become more direct or more evasive.

### 4. External Red Flags

Layoffs, lawsuits, investigations, SEC filings, and local reporting are not always culture signals. Sometimes they are noise. But they help prevent a card from missing obvious external context.

## How A Judgment Is Scored

Every public card has one primary validation metric, one threshold, and one deadline. The possible outcomes are:

- Hit
- Miss
- Partial
- Void
- Open

Direction right but timing wrong is a miss. Thresholds are locked when the card is published. Hit-rate percentages are not shown until at least 10 judgments have closed.
